About FCC
This is what we hear from so many people
who have found new fellowship at First Christian Church:
FCC has a place for me.
FCC holds fast to Christian traditions.
FCC is Bible focused, energized by the Holy Spirit, and committed to Christ.
Our most important purpose
is to make disciples of Jesus Christ:
“Committed Christians whose lives are shaped by Jesus Christ, the One who is revealed through the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit.”
Scripture study, worship, charity, Christian relationships, and membership in the Body of Christ are intended to bring out our full potential, and to cause us to live in fullness.
We would love to help Christ claim your abilities and gifts for the sake of the Gospel and to help disciple others.
How does FCC approach faith, life, skepticism?
“In essentials, unity,
in opinions, liberty
in all things, love”
We hold fast to six essential beliefs and practices:
Whatever falls outside of these six essentials, we consider “opinions” or “personal interpretations.” We encourage each person to study, pray, and develop a deeper understanding of God’s love and God’s ways. When we disagree on non-essentials it doesn’t cause a rift. This allows for a diversity of experiences and points of view, while maintaining unity on the core essentials of Christ’s Church.
To tie it all together, everything we do as a Body of Believers is to build up and encourage each other.
